Montréal International (MI) is a non-profit organization created in 1996 as a result of a private-public partnership. Its mission is to contribute to the economic development of Greater Montréal and enhance its international status. MI is funded by some 100 members from the private and institutional sectors, as well as the Governments of Canada and Québec, the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal and the City of Montréal.

The International Organizations (IOs) Department at Montréal International carries out strategic monitoring and proactively targets high-potential projects on a global scale, with a view to promoting Montréal as a destination city for international organizations' secretariats. MI provides IOs with a range of services: strategic advice for developing a business plan ; connections to local networks and Montréal's international community ; long-term guidance and support for development.
